We all know that most local retailer stores, such as Best Buy and Circuit City, have a price match policy, however, do you know that Amazon also has an unadvertised 30-day price guarantee policy?

How It Works?

If the price (before any coupon or rebate) drops on any item (sold by Amazon.com, not from a third party seller) within 30 days of your purchase, you can request a refund on the difference. This isn’t about matching prices from other stores, this offer only applies if the price at Amazon goes down.

There are two ways to request a refund:

1. Request refund by phone: just call 1-800-201-7575, extension 7; or
   
2. Request refund by e-mail. Below are detail steps:
   • Go to Amazon homepage.
   • Click Help link on right top corner.
   • Click Custom Servcie
     
   • After you login, click E-mail tab;
   • click Choose Order & Items button to choose your order number and select items.
   • Enter the price change detail in the text box
   • Click Send e-mail button to submit your request.

   

3. Amazon will credit you back the difference normally within 1 business day. Its’ pretty easy and no hassles.

How Do You Track Amazon Price Change?

While it is easy to request a refund from Amazon.com if you know the price has been droped, but how can you keep track of the price change? It is almost impossible for anyone to go to Amazon.com website to check the price all the time. Luckily enough, there are several websites there are dedicated check the price for you automatically.
